Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform a real-time monitor for a faulty relay, by varying the level of the faulty relay detection signal by a switch circuit provided at the position of a relay and according to the presence or absence of a fault of the relay. CONSTITUTION:The faulty relay detection signal is transmitted to a monitor signal line 9 from an end office device to reach a manhole 7. The control output of a control circuit 6 of each relay 2 is connected to a switch circuit 8 after obtaining an OR of the output of each relay. When a fault occurs to the working condition of the relay 2, the output of the circuit 6 varies to give a chang to the circuit 8 of the manhole 7. Accordingly, the circuit 8 that had a change can be known by detecting the state under which the faulty relay detection signal is sent to the line 9 and then returned to a monitor signal line 10.
