Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the vibration resistance of a ground type low temperature tank for storing LNG or the like by providing a flat-platelike anchor plate inclined in opposite direction to the vertical direction to a foundation placing a tank body and restricting the tank body against horizontal movements. CONSTITUTION:Two anchor plates 7a, 7b are so mounted obliquely at the prescribed angle alpha with respect to the vertical direction of a tank body 3 in opposite direction as to become facing pair. Mounts 9 to other concrete foundation 1 are so provided at the respective prescribed distances as to cross with the mounts 8 of a side plate 6, and are composed to exhibit approximately 8-shaped state. Since the anchor plates 7 are inclined at the prescribed angle at the time of an earthquake, they can produce large horizontal reaction against the horizontal movements of the tank body 3. Accordingly, the anchor plate 7 performs a function as a resistor for stopping the horizontal slide of the tank body 3 by the tensile strength.
