Abstract
PURPOSE:To freely obtain appropriate voltage and to form electrostatic latent images of original images, by adjusting electric fields of the first corona discharger and the second corona discharger whose polarization is reverse to that of the first corona discharger. CONSTITUTION:Polarizations which generate positive electric charges to an insulating layer 26 and a photosensitive element layer 27 at an electric field of positive electric charge by the first corona discharger 15 in the dark, and, by the rotation of a photosensitive drum along the direction shown by the arrow, the polarity is reversed by receiving the electric field of the negative electric charge of the second corona discharger 19 and thus polarization is produced. When the drum is rotated further along the direction of the arrow, the electric field of the photosensitive element layer 27 disappears by a light 24 of a lamp 23 in the whole exposing section. By controlling the electric charges polarized to the insulating layer in accordance with the variation in quantity of light for exposure of the original images at the second corona discharger 19, electrostatic latent images which meet originals are formed.
