Abstract
PURPOSE:To form a pressure fixable toner for development causing no bleeding phenomena by using a resin obtd. by mixing a polymerizing wax having a functional group and a styrene monomer. CONSTITUTION:Wax having a functional group such as, for example, a satd. or unsatd. fatty acid, and its easter, a satd. alcohol and its ester, a polyhydric alcohol, its ester, a satd. fatty amide, a bis-fatty amide, metallic soap, halide or paraffin wax, or polyethylene oxide is added to a solvent soln. of a styrene monomer, and the soln. is polymerized, whereby a solid resin is obtd. This resin is used as a binder resin for the toner, and toner particles are produced. It is possible to contain magnetic particles such as, for example, iron, a coloring agent such as, for example, carbon black or ultramarine blue and an electric charge control agent in the toner.
