Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a reflector for a solar heat collector in which occurrence of a petrifaction phenomenon is prevented and luster is held for a long period of time while maintaining the characteristics of an alkali silicate film by forming a silanol condensate film on the alkali silicate film formed on the reflector.
CONSTITUTION: The reflector is coated with an alkali silicate solution such as an aqueous solution of potassium silicate, burnt to form an alkali silicate film. Then, a silicon alkoxide solution is coated on the alkali silicate film and is burnt to form a silanol condensate film on the alkali silicate film. By this construction, the petrifaction phenomenon is prevented, and a protective film having a luster for a long period of time can be obtained.
