Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate the taking out of a transfer paper or other conducts by making the distance between the cutting position of the transfer paper and the position of a detector to detect the transfer paper greater than the minimum conveyable length of the transfer paper in a machine for leaving longish transfer papers in the machine.
CONSTITUTION: When a manual insertion paper-feeding guide 11 is set and a transfer paper is inserted into the guide plate 11, a feed roller 3 is rotated by signals (a) and (b) and the transfer paper is set at a proper position. At this stage, when a copy switch is pushed, a paper feeding start signal (c) is brought to H (high level), and counting is started by a counter circuit 22. Meanwhile, when the manual insertion paper feeding is carried on longer than a prescribed length, the output of an AND circuit 28 comes to H (high level), a cutter drive circuit 30 and a cutter solenoid SOL are on, and the transfer paper is cut by a cutter 6 as the paper feeding being intercepted. Here, the distance l between a photosensor PS1 and the cutter 6 is selected to be greater than the minimum conveyable size for facilitating the taking out of papers or other conducts later on.
