Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the efficiency of cargo takeout and enable much cargo work, by dropping a bulk cargo such as lumber chips stored in a storage ship or the like, onto a conveyor down from numerous through grooves provided on a storage floor, through moving members provided with X-shaped expansible and contractible claws, to convey the cargo.
CONSTITUTION: A moving member 11 moves on rails 8 over a through groove 4 as takeout claws 12a on the leading side T as to the movement remain elongated, so that lumber chips 2 in front of the takeout claws 12a are scraped together toward the through groove 4 and dropped into it. After the moving member 11 is run to the end of the through groove 4, the member 11 is run in the opposite direction as the claws 12a remain contracted and other claws 12b are elongated. The moving member 11 is thus reciprocated to take out the cargo 2 into the groove 4 to supply it to a conveyor 5. The distance betwen the claws 12a, 12b is modified among l1Wl3 depending on the quantity of the lumber chips 2 loaded in a storage ship 1.
