Abstract
PURPOSE:To make electronic tuning and mechanical tuning possible, by arranging a subresonator, to which a varactor diode is connected, near and dielectric resonator forming a feedback circuit, in a semiconductor oscillator assembled on a microwave IC substrate. CONSTITUTION:An FET6 is fitted onto a microwave IC substrate 1, and a source electrode, a drain electrode and gate electrode transmission lines 3-5 are formed by microstrip lines. A dielectric resonator 7 which is coupled to lines 4 and 5 electromagnetically and consists of titanium oxide and etc. is arranged. Further, a subresonator 10 which is coupled to the resonator 7 electromagnetically and consists of a microstrip line is formed, and a varactor diode 11 where a (1/4) wavelength short-circuit line 12 is connected to one end is connected to the resonator 10. The output of the oscillator constituted in this manner is taken out from the electrode 3, and mechanical tuning of the oscillation frequency is possible by adjusting the resonator 7, and electronic tuning is possible by the diode 11. A junction transistor is used instead of the FET6.
