Conventionally, while driving a vehicle, as shown in FIG. 1, a driver O looks ahead and at the same time looks directly to the left and right and to the rear through the fender mirrors 1 and 2 in order to ensure safe driving.

However, the range that the driver O can see directly and the range that he can see behind through the fender mirrors 1 and 2 is limited, and as shown in FIG. 1, the range D (limited by the lines OF and IR2) The area D' (indicated by hatching) and the line OF' and the line 2R'2 (indicated by hatching) inevitably becomes a blind spot, and the driver O cannot visually recognize such a blind spot area. As shown, even if another vehicle A approaches, the driver does not notice it, and it is extremely dangerous to turn right or change the driving lane to the right.

又左方へ他の車両が近接した場合も同様である。The same applies when another vehicle approaches to the left.

本考案は上述の如き欠点を排除せるフェンダ−ミラーの

This invention changes the viewing angle range by linking the fender mirror on the relevant side with the turn signal operating lever of the vehicle when turning left, right, or changing driving lanes to the left or right. It is characterized by improving driving safety by reducing blind spots and making it possible to detect vehicles approaching to the side.

That is, as shown in FIG. 2, for example, when turning right or changing the driving lane to the right, the blind spot of the right fender mirror 1 is adjusted to the first viewing angle R11R2 in conjunction with the operation of the turn signal operating lever.
Change from R″□-1-R″2 in Figure 2. By reducing the waist visual angle range to range D″, which is limited by line OF and line I R″2, you can confirm vehicle A approaching to the right. This is what you do.

In FIG. 3, when the turn signal operating lever 3 of the vehicle is switched from the neutral position A to the leftward operating position B, the above-mentioned viewing angle of only the left fender mirror 2 is changed in conjunction with this, and the right When the vehicle is switched to the operating position C, the viewing angle of only the right fender mirror 1 is changed in conjunction with this.

Therefore, when the turn signal operating lever 3 is switched to the rightward switching position C, the switch closes and excites the electromagnet 11, which attracts and pivots the arm 7 against the action of the spring 9, thereby moving the right fender. - The mirror body 5 of the mirror 1 is switched from the normal rear viewing position to the side viewing position shown in FIG.

FIG. 5 shows a variant embodiment, which is generally similar to that of FIG. 4, except that an electromagnet 11' is placed in place in the vehicle and a magnetically actuating member 14 cooperates with it. is connected to one end of the cable 15, and the other end of the cable 15 is connected to the free end of the arm 7' of the mirror body support frame 6, and the mirror body 5 is actuated via the cable 15 by the operation of the electromagnet 11'. This is how it has become.

In the above explanation, an electromagnet is used, but it is not limited to electromagnets, and it is also possible to use a solenoid or an electric motor.Contrary to the above, the fender mirror is constantly attracted to the correct position by the electromagnet, and when the turn signal is activated, The same effect can be achieved by deenergizing the lever and pushing it to the side viewing position using a spring.

Furthermore, in the above description, it is assumed that an electromagnetic device is used in conjunction with an elastic device such as a spring to switch the fender mirror between the normal position and the position that reduces the lateral blind spot in conjunction with the operation of the turn signal operating lever. As described above, the present invention is not limited to this, and uses an electromagnetic device such as a pair of electromagnets, or one permanent magnet and one electromagnetic device, and always uses one electromagnetic device or permanent magnet to keep the mirror in the correct position. It is also possible, and included in the present invention, to hold it in the lateral blind spot reducing position by switching the other electromagnetic device to the energized position in conjunction with the turn signal operating lever.

Previously, devices have been proposed that remotely control the position of the fender mirror to adjust it to the appropriate position, but the present invention works in conjunction with the turn signal operating lever to automatically reduce the lateral blind spot and improve driving. Nothing that improves safety has yet been developed, and the present invention significantly contributes to improving the running safety of vehicles.
