Abstract

PURPOSE:To drive a floppy magnetic disk medium smoothly and prevent the crack growth in the disk medium by providing liners whose diameter is smaller than that of the disk medium in a magnetic disk cartridge which contains the disk medium. CONSTITUTION:The disk medium 3 and liners 2 and 2' sandwiching medium 3 from both surfaces are provided in the magnetic recording cartridge body 1, and the liner 2 is smaller in diameter than the disk medium 3. Therefore, a burr formed at the cut part of the disk medium 3, i.e. outer circumference of the disk medium 3 never contacts the liner 2 to drive the disk medium 3 smoothly. The burr formed when the medium is formed in a discoid shape is often in the cutting direction.
