Claims

In a disk cartridge configured such that a disk is rotatably housed in a cartridge consisting of an upper and lower half, and a pair of openings provided in the upper and lower halves are opened and closed by shutters having a substantially U-shaped cross section, one end of the upper and lower halves is provided. A guide shaft is installed along the middle part of the upper and lower halves, and the side surface of the sliding member that is slidingly guided by this guide shaft is exposed outside the upper and lower halves, thereby creating a shutter whose cross section is approximately U-shaped.
