Abstract

PURPOSE:To thoroughly protect a photosensitive material during conveyance and to obtain a copied image having good quality by providing a conveyance system for the photosensitive material in a dark box insulated from an optical system which is opened only in the exposing stage and providing thorough light shieldability between the photosensitive material supply port of said conveyance system and the insertion part of a cartridge mounting part. CONSTITUTION:The original information on original platen glass 2 of a copying device body 1 is obtd. by the optical system 5. The conveyance system 35 for the photosensitive material 6 is provided in the upper and lower dark boxes 37 and 39 optically insulated by the shutter 8 which can be opened only in the exposing stage. The supply port 21 of the cartridge 18 to supply the photosensitive material 6 is projected like a lip into such conveyance system 35. The supply port 21 is then coupled with the dark box 39 through the insertion port 23 of the cartridge mounting part 19. The space between the insertion port 23 provided to the mounting part 19 and the supply port 21 of the cartridge 18 is shielded by a light shielding member 24 stuck to the periphery of the port 23 and a light shielding member 25 of the port 21, by which the photosensitive material 6 under the conveyance is thoroughly shielded of light.

After developing this into a toner image, it is transferred to recording paper fed at a timing from the paper feeding section, and ptj! The paper is configured to be fixed by applying pressure and ejecting the paper. Therefore, if the original information obtained by this optical system is directly exposed to the photosensitive surface of the photosensitive material instead of the photosensitive drum, and the photosensitive material is processed by passing it through a processing liquid tank according to the development process, a full-color copy can be obtained. It is theoretically possible to do so.

However, unlike a photoreceptor drum, photosensitive materials can fog even if a small amount of external light enters, so an optical system that obtains document information from the document on an open document platen glass and a transportation system for the photosensitive material are required. It has not been possible to obtain a copying device that is compactly incorporated into the same housing and is capable of full-color copying.

Therefore, the inventor of the present invention installed an optical system that obtains document information from a document on a document table glass into an optically insulated dark box through a shutter that can be opened only during exposure. We succeeded in installing a transport system for transporting the photosensitive material to a copying machine that enabled full-color copying, but in order to complete this, we needed to improve the light-shielding properties of the cartridge itself that stored the photosensitive material. It has been found that it is necessary to ensure sufficient light-shielding properties at the part where the cartridge is connected to the transport system.

As described above, the present invention includes a photosensitive material transport system in a dark box that is optically insulated via a shutter that can be opened only during exposure to an optical system that obtains document information from a document on a document table glass. A cartridge for supplying photosensitive material to the system has a lip-shaped supply port that protrudes, and the supply port can be inserted into the dark box through an insertion port provided in the cartridge mounting section and connected to the transport system. Because the cartridge has a lip-shaped supply port that serves as a guide, it is easy to install the cartridge in the mounting section. After installation, the inside of the dark box is connected to the transport system, and the cartridge's own light-shielding properties make it easy to install the cartridge. This provides various excellent effects such as sufficient light shielding at the portion connected to the transport system.
