囲体6が設けられている。7は固定部(図示せ
ず)に固着され貫通孔7aを有する端子板、8は
一端が固定外筒3内に摺動自在に嵌合し駆動機構
(図示せず)によつて駆動されて固定接触子5と
接離可能な可動接触子であつて、他端は端子板7
の貫通孔7aを貫通して摺動する。なお、上記両
接触子5,8及び摺動体4が閉合されている時、
固定外筒3と両接触子5,8摺動体4及び包囲体
6とでガス貯留室9が構成されている。また、ガ
ス貯留室9は固定外筒3の小径部3bと可動接触
子8間に設けられた関隙9aおよび上記可動体4
に設けられた開孔4eを介して、固定外筒3の外
部すなわち上記容器(図示せず)内に連通されて

圧縮されるガスの温度上昇を制限することができ
るとともに、開孔4eから固定外筒に圧縮された
ガスを逃さない。可動接触子8がさらに上方に移
動し、摺動体が圧縮動作を完了すると、可動接触
子8と固定接触子5の間が開離され、両接触子
5,8間にアークが発生する。一方この高温のア
