Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption of a double balance type mixer circuit by modulating an input signal by the double balance mixer part of a front stage and obtaining a sum frequency component and a difference frequency component, and suppressing them by the differential amplification part of a rear stage and reducing the frequency component of the input signal. CONSTITUTION:A source follower circuit part 2 and the differential amplification part 3 are provided so as to further improve the suppression of the signal frequency component of the double balance type mixer circuit part 1 consisting of a 1st load resistance RL1, a 2nd load resistance RL2, FETs Q1-Q7, etc. The circuit part 2 consists of FETs Q8-Q11 and the amplification part 3 consists of FETs Q12-Q14, a 3rd load resistance RL3, and a 4th load resistance RL4. In this constitution, in-phase components of the difference and sum frequencies of two input signals are put together by the products of inputs and the sum of them according to the two opposite-phase input signals applied to input terminals to obtain the frequency component of the opposite-phase input signals while suppressing them. Then the frequency components of the outputs of a 3rd output line Q' and a 4th output line, the inversion of O' for the input signals are in phase, so suppression is further performed through the amplification part 3 to reduce the power consumption.
