Abstract
PURPOSE: To attain a strong coupling at a low loss, by providing a coupling circuit to an external circuit in such a way that both opened ends of one loop like transmission line are connected with each other with a capacity and connecting the external circuit to one point of the line other than the section at the central part of the electric length of the transmission line.
CONSTITUTION: This ring type resonator is formed of a line 11 and capacity 12. Since the central part of the transmission line 11, namely, the point at which the line A-A' intersects the line 11 becomes a virtual short-circuiting point, the point 14 which is separated from the virtual short-circuiting point by an electric length (θ) is used as a coupling point to an external circuit. Therefore, when the value (θ) is changed, the coupling can be changed and, at the same time, no coupling capacity and loop are required. As a result, the circuit is simplified in constitution and strong coupling is attained at a low loss.
