Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce heat dissipation into a die bolt, utilize all of heat energy to only the axial thermal expansion of the die bolt and prevent the deterioration of slit gap regulating capacity, by employing an alloy steel, having a low heat conductivity and high tensile strength, as the material of the main body of a die, and an auxiliary heating device. CONSTITUTION:A sheet material extruding die consisting of a plurality of die bolts arranged in the widthwise direction of a slit, the die bolts and an auxiliary heating means are provided while the die bolts and the auxiliary heating means are constituted or a corrosion and heat resistant super alloy steel or the like, having the heat conductivity of 5-25kcal/m.hr. deg.C under a practical temperature of 20 deg.C-700 deg.C of the die bolt and the tensile strength of 70-150kg/mm<2> under the same temperature. This metal should contain the total amount of composition of Ni and Cr of substantially 50%-95% by weight %.
