Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve brightness on an entire screen and to prevent the mechanical strength of a screen from lowering by applying a coupling material on the surface of a diffusion agent which is mixed into the screen. CONSTITUTION:Light refracted on an incident surface 2 is propagated into the material of the screen 1 and enters a diffusing layer consisting of the diffusion agent 4, where it is diffused, and it is refracted on an emitting surface 3 again to be emitted on a specified direction. When video light entered in the diffusing layer 4 is projected from the diffusion agent 4, a part of the light is reflected between the material of screen 1 and the diffusing layer 4 and returned to the incident surface 2 side. Then the coupling agent 5 is applied on the surface of the diffusion agent 4 so as to reduce the reflected light. Thus, the brightness of the entire screen can be improved and the lowering of the mechanical strength of the screen can be prevented.
