Abstract
PURPOSE:To fix adhesively the root of an optical fiber at the exit of the tip hole of ferrule, by binding a bonding agent by applying the bonding agent on the root of a fiber exposing part as rotating a nozzle at a prescribed angle centering the axial center of an optical cable. CONSTITUTION:When the optical cable is sent from another carrying device, its lower end is clamped by a clamping device 10, then, it is fixed in a hollow state. And on the root of the optical fiber piercing the tip hole of the ferrule at the lower end, a required amount of bonding agent is applied by using the nozzle of a bonding agent supplying device 20. Prior to that, the inclination of the bonding agent supplying device 20 is adjusted at a prescribed angle by a driving device 30 by using the riving device 30' of the supplying device, and furthermore, it is moved by a prescribed distance horizontally by a driving device 30'', then, it is set at the exit of the tip of the ferrule where the tip of the nozzle 22 is fixed so that the optimum position at the optimum angle can be obtained. And when the injection of the bonding agent from the nozzle 22 is started, the nozzle 22 is rotated at the prescribed angle in a horizontal direction by a horizontal rotary driving device 40 as applying the bonding agent at prescribed injecting speed. In such a way, it is possible to fix adhesively the optical fiber at the exit of the tip of the fiber.
