Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent malfunctioning while enabling long-time use with the securing of an insulating property, by providing a ground layer with the thickness of below 20mum on the surfaces of a thermistor element and a metal column to form a protective clad layer with the thickness of above 20mum thereon made from a powder resin. CONSTITUTION:A thermistor element 5 having electrode bodies 2 and 3 on both sides of a thermal element is supported with metal columns 6 and 7. A ground layer 10 with the thickness of below 20mum is formed on the surfaces of the element 5 and the columns 6 and 7 by spray coating. A protective clad layer 9 with the thickness of above 20mum is formed on the layer by electrostatic coating of a powder resin. The ground layer 10 below 20mum permits a higher adhesion between the element 5, the metal columns 6 and 7 and the protective clad layer 9. As the clad layer 9 is above 20mum in the thickness, a uniform clad is possible to eliminate possible pinholes or the like to secure the insulating property. This prevents malfunctioning to achieve a higher antielectrolytic corrosiveness thereby enabling long-time use.
