Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a dielectric porcelain composition, holding high dielectric constant and low-temperature sinterability and having high resistance value in firing in an atmosphere under a low oxygen partial pressure, by specifying a composition consisting of Pb, Mg, Nb, Zn and O.
CONSTITUTION: A dielectric porcelain composition, expressed by the composition formula Pb1+a(Mg1/3Nb2/3)x(Zn1/3Nb2/3)1-xO+a (a is within the range of 0.001≤a≤0.15 and x is within the range of 0.60≤x≤0.95) and obtained by firing high-purity composition component metallic oxide powder as a starting raw material at a low temperature of about ≤1,050°C. The aforementioned composition, as necessary, is capable of substituting ≤15mol.% Pb with one or more elements of Ba, Sr and Ca. One or more oxides of MnO2, CoO and Cu2O in an amount of ≤0.4wt.% can be added to the above-mentioned composition. An inexpensive base metal material, such as Cu, can be used as an internal electrode by using this composition.
