Abstract
PURPOSE: To slide stably against over torque, raise durability and prevent galling and overload application by treating at least one of the contacting surfaces of the engaged rotary axle and rotary elements with lower temperature sulphur infiltration. CONSTITUTION: The final gear forced in axle 10 is dipped in a molten salt bath of alkali metal salt containing sulphur, and anode electrolyzed to have sulphur infiltration treatment for its contacting surface. By this way, the contacting surface is provided with lubricity so that when acute torque variation occurs in power transmission system, stable sliding takes place between the axle 10 and the final gear 11, and vibration is absorbed. Consequently, no overload is applied to various parts, galling is prevented and durability raised.
