Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce a moving weight and to shorten the access time of an optical head by constituting a mobile optical system only of an objective lens and a bent mirror. CONSTITUTION:The fixed optical system 40 is constituted of a laser light source 41, a light separating means 42 for separating an injection light from the laser light source 41 and a reflected light from an optical disk, a focussing driving means for controlling a focussing to the optical disk 100 of the injection light, a tracking driving means for controlling the tracking within the range of the small number of the tracks to the optical disk of the injection light and a photodetector 47 for receiving the reflected light from the optical disk obtained in the light separating means 42. In a mirror drum 52 fixed to a liner motor 51, the mobile optical system 60 constituted only of the mirror 61 and the objective lens 62 is stored. Thereby, the weight of the mobile optical system 60 is reduced to shorten the access time for recording and or reproducing.
