Abstract

PURPOSE: To easily minimize the occupied space at low cost by directly supplying a filler from the drawing side of strand to a stranding point. CONSTITUTION: In the case of SZ stranding, a guide pipe 5 has a longitudinally extending hole 10 for filling a wedge-shaped space between the strand elements 1 of a stranded layer, and this hole forms a filler supplying passage situated within a vessel 11. A filler reaches a stranding point over a connecting hole 12, and the strand elements 1 are collected to layers or bundles, or simply into a single strand. Simultaneously with the providing of the filler, the winding of a layer formed of the strand elements 1 is performed by a holding spiral 7, and the spiral firmly fixes the filled strand bands formed of the strand elements 1 and a core wire strand 3 at the end part of the standing wire nipple 4.
