Abstract

PURPOSE:To ensure the drain performance of a tire and to decrease its noise by forming in a tread a lateral groove and its both side walls from a fine lateral groove, for the walls coming into contact when the tire is in loaded rolling, and a wide lateral groove for the wall not mutually coming into contact, and arranging each groove respectively in a specific range. CONSTITUTION:A tread 1 provides in its central area 1a a wide peripheral groove 2 parallelly extending in the peripheral direction of a tire. While the tread 1 provides in its both side areas 1c a number of lateral grooves 3 extended tilting in the peripheral direction of the tire further arranged with an equal space in such a manner as obtaining line symmetry for the center line C of the tire.
