Abstract
PURPOSE:To permit a uniform adhesion of sterilizing liquid to the interior of a container, yet reducing the residual amount thereof by spraying the same on each wall of a column-shaped container at an angle with respect thereto during the spraying into the interior of said container effected by sterilizing liquid spray nozzles provided in the path of conveying the aforesaid containers. CONSTITUTION:In a germless packaging apparatus provided with steam spraying nozzles 10-14, hot air spray nozzles 20-23 and an ultraviolet-irradiated portion 30 above column-shaped containers carried by a conveyor in a germless chamber (A), the steam spray nozzle 10 sprays steam on the four outer surfaces of the containers and the nozzles 11-14 are so inclined as to spray steam on the left, right, front and rear inner walls of the containers each at an angle with respect to said walls. Thus, the sprayed sterilizing liquid is attached uniformly to the upper part of the container as well as the lower part and fillets thereof, making a thorough sterilization possible. The inclined spray of the sterilizing liquid renders the amount of residual sterilizing liquid smaller yet higher in safety and, even with the increased conveying speed of the container, a full sterilizing efficacy can be obtained.
