Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a threshold value circuit capable of setting the threshold value corresponding to the level of back noise, by providing an averaging circuit, a holding circuit, an adder circuit, a comparing circuit, a switch, a control circuit etc. CONSTITUTION:An envelope detection circuit 11 performs the envelope detection of an input signal and a holding circuit 21 holds the average value signal AVE outputted from an integrating circuit 12 as one embodiment of an averaging circuit. Adder circuits 14, 17 are predetermined values to the signal AVE to form threshold values VL, VH and comparing circuits 15, 18 compare said threshold values VL, VH with an envelope detection signal ENV. A switch 22 inputs the signal ENV and the signal AVE held to the circuit 21 to the circuit 12 while changes over both of them. A control circuit 23 receives the output from the circuit 15 and changes over the switch 22 to the circuit 21 when the signal ENV exceeds the threshold value VL and changes over the same to the signal ENV when the signal ENV does not exceed the threshold value VL. The threshold value thus set accurately follows the level of back noise.
