Abstract

PURPOSE:To make operability during high rotation in a low load region compatible with response performance during low rotation, by a method wherein control is effected so that, in the low load region of an engine, the more the number of revolutions of an engine is increased, the more a value to which a supercharging pressure is set is decreased. CONSTITUTION:An engine 1 is provided with a turbosupercharger 4 formed with a turbine 41 situated in a suction passage 2 and a blower 42 situated in an exhaust passage 3. A port 44 of a passage 43 bypassing the turbosupercharger 4 is opened and closed by means of a waste gate valve 45, and the valve 45 is controlled by an actuator 46 and a duty solenoid valve 50. In this case, detecting signals from various sensors 9-11 to detect the running state of the engine 1 are inputted to a control unit 12, and meanwhile a control signal from the unit 12 is outputted to the valve 50. In the low load region of the engine 1, the more the number of revolutions of the engine 1 is increased, the more a value to which a supercharging pressure is decreased.
