Abstract

NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I (n is 9-17). EXAMPLE:1,2-Bis(alpha-methylenehexadecanoyl)-3-glycerophosphocholine. USE:Raw material for polymerized liposome, bimolecular membrane of lipid forming a material of separation membrane usable in industrial and medical fields and its built-up film. It can be easily synthesized and used as a transfer carrier by sealing a drug or enzyme, etc., in the compound. PREPARATION:The objective compound can be produced by (1) dissolving an alpha-methylenealkanoic acid of formula II and glycerophosphocholine of formula III or glycerophosphocholine.cadminum chloride complex in an aprotic solvent such as dichloroethane or chloroform and (2) reacting the components at room temperature in the presence of 4-(N,N-dimethylamino)pyridine as a catalyst and N,N-dicyclohexylcarbodiimide as a condensation agent.
