Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a low-cost optical printer head, by a method wherein, a bonding pat part of an LED array is directly connected to a bonding pat part of an LED array drive element by wire bonding, and the LED array drive element is connected to a wiring part of a wiring board serving as an input electrode by wire bonding. CONSTITUTION:On a metal plate 3 using, for example, aluminum, an LED array 1 is firmly bonded with a conductive material 5, and an LED array drive element 2 is fixed. A bonding pat part of the LED array 1 is connected to a bonding pat of the LED array drive element 2 by wire bonding. A wiring board 8 serving as an input electrode is connected to the LED array drive element 2 by wire bonding. In this manner, the need for a high-cost ceramic wiring board is eliminated, and simultaneously the number of connecting wires and the required time for wire bonding can be reduced to almost half those in a prior art.
