Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a device for efficiently and accurately transmitting necessary traffic information to a driver by receiving messages with level codes transmitted through radio waves, storing these messages in accordance with priority levels and alternatively displaying these messages. CONSTITUTION:Digital message information sent from an information processing center for collecting and editing messages is received by a receiver 1 mounted on a vehicle, stored in a receiving buffer 2 of a processing part C and transferred to a message buffer 4 by a message distributing part 3 in the order of priority level. When the priority level of a received message is higher than the priority level of a display buffer 6 and that of the buffer 4, the received message is immediately transferred to the buffer 6 and displayed on a display part 7. A CPU 5 controls the distributing part 3. At the time of confirming the message displayed on the display part 7, the driver depresses a confirmation switch 8. The display part 7 is arranged on an instrument panel in the vehicle.
