Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body having excellent electrophotographic characteristics and good coatability of an electric charge generating layer by forming an under coating layer of a polymer formed of at least one kind among polyimide, polyamide, poolyurea, and polyurethane formed by vapor deposition polymn. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body is a 4-layered structural body consisting of at least a conductive base, the under coating layer consisting of a high-polymer compd. provided by vapor deposition polymn., the charge generating layer and a charge transfer layer. The respective layers are successively laminated in this order on the conductive base. The high-polymer compd. used for the under coating layer is the material which can be polymerized by heating of monomers and vacuum deposition and is exemplified by the polyimide, polyamide, poolyurea, and polyurethane. The electrophotographic sensitive body having the uniform film thickness, the good coatability of the charge generating layer and the excellent electrophotographic characteristics is thereby obtd.
