Abstract

PURPOSE:To accomplish photographing in face sequential fashion by providing a rotating filter obtained by arraying filters transmitting light beams of different wavelength bands in the peripheral direction and a ultrasonic motor rotating said rotating filter. CONSTITUTION:The rotating filter 45 is rotatably loaded onto the inside of the ultrasonic motor 43. The outer periphery of said rotating filter 45 abuts on the inner periphery of the ultrasonic motor 43, and the filter 45 itself is rotated by proceeding waves generated by the ultrasonic motor 43. After signals, which are output from a solid-state image pickup element 32, are read out and are driven by a driver 62, are amplified by a preamplifier, for example, they are input to a process circuit 61, following which signals picked up under face sequential light beams R, G and B are output as chrominance components R, G and B. Thus, photographing in face sequential fashion can be accomplished by providing the rotating filter on the leading edge part.
