Abstract

PURPOSE:To shorten preparation time for top and bottom registration of printing, by a method wherein a servomotor is driven by a command of CPU, and each plate cylinder is rotated in a direction to be corrected by a shear amount of each printing reference position to a reference position of printing matter. CONSTITUTION:Printing matter 9 is set onto a digital scale apparatus 1. A scale 3 is stopped at an optional position on the printing matter 9. and said position is stored in CPU 5 as a reference position D of the printing matter 9. The scale 3 is registered to a first printing reference position A by transferring, and this position is stored in CPU 5 as the printing reference position A of a first printing unit. Hereinafter, the printing reference positions B, C of a second and a third printing units are stored in CPU 5 in the same way. Shear amounts delta1, delta2, delta3 to a reference position D of each printing matter are operated in CPU 5 by above-mentioned operation. Rotary commands are independently outputted from CPU 5 to servomotors 12a, 12b, 12c. Respective plate cylinders 11a, 11b, 11c are rotated in a direction of correcting shear amounts delta1, delta2, delta3 to the reference printing position D, and top and bottom registrations of respective plate cylinder 11a, 11b, 11c are registered to the standard position D.
