Abstract

PURPOSE:To aim at making improvements in cooling effect and suction capacity by forming a protetive cover in a brushless DC motor constituting a part of an electric blower with a nonmagnetic, nonferrous metal member, while forming a partition member and a ventilating hole in each specified part respectively. CONSTITUTION:An electric blower is provided with a brushless DC motor 1 and a blower 2. The motor 1 consists of a stator 1A with a stator core 5 being supported on a housing 3 and provided with armature winding 4 and a rotator 1B being installed in a permanent magnet 10 and having a protective cover 11. With this constitution aforesaid, this protective cover is formed from a nonmagnetic, nonferrous metal member. In an interval between an axial side of the stator core 5 and the rotator 1B, there is provided with a partition member 16 consisting of a nonmagnetic member. In addition, a ventilating hole 17 is formed between an inner circumference of the housing 3 and an outer circumference of the stator core 5. Then, air inhaled from a fan 14 is led into the ventilating hole 17 via a diffuser 15.
