Serial data transmitted from the communication controller 1 is converted to parallel data by serial/parallel converting circuit 6 and is sent as reception data to a main control circuit 5. The preliminarily determined control code is set to a control code detecting circuit 8; and when data sent from the communication controller 1 coincides with this control code set to the control code detecting circuit 8, the main control circuit 5 is informed of this coincidence and instructs a speed control circuit 7 to switch the data transfer speed of following data.
