Abstract
Description
Claims (16)
- 외부 비디오 시스템으로부터 i×j개의 영상 신호로 이루어진 n(2 이상의 자연수)개의 영상 신호 그룹을 각각 입력받는 n개의 인터페이스 유닛; 및다수의 데이터 라인, 다수의 게이트 라인 및 다수의 화소가 구비되어 영상을 표시하고, 상기 데이터 라인들과 평행한 방향으로 분할되어 상기 i×j 해상도를 갖는 n개의 표시영역으로 이루어지며, 상기 n개의 표시영역이 상기 n개의 인터페이스 유닛을 통해 입력된 상기 n개의 영상 신호 그룹에 대응하는 데이터 신호를 각각 표시하는 표시패널을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 표시패널은 (n×i)×j의 해상도를 갖고,상기 n×i는 상기 다수의 데이터 라인이 연장된 방향으로 배열된 화소의 개수이며, 상기 j는 상기 다수의 게이트 라인이 연장된 방향으로 배열된 화소의 개수인 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 n×i은 4096이며, 상기 j는 2160인 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치.
- 제3항에 있어서, 상기 n은 4이며, 상기 i는 1024인 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 n개의 인터페이스 유닛 각각은,상기 외부 비디오 시스템으로부터 대응하는 영상 신호 그룹을 입력받는 커넥터; 및상기 커넥터에 각각 연결되고, 상기 대응하는 영상 신호 그룹을 입력받는 데이터 수신부를 구비하는 제어회로를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 커넥터는 2 채널 커넥터인 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치.
- 제6항에 있어서, 상기 커넥터의 제1 채널은 상기 대응하는 영상 신호 그룹에 포함된 영상 신호들 중 홀수번째 영상 신호를 입력받고,상기 커넥터의 제2 채널은 상기 대응하는 영상 신호 그룹에 포함된 영상 신호들 중 짝수번째 영상신호를 입력받는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치.
- 제7항에 있어서, 상기 데이터 수신부는 상기 커넥터의 제1 채널에 연결된 제1 데이터 수신부 및 상기 커넥터의 제2 채널에 연결된 제2 데이터 수신부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 n개의 인터페이스 유닛 각각은 저전압 차동신호 인터 페이스 방식을 통해 데이터를 입력받는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 다수의 게이트 라인으로 게이트 신호를 순차적으로 제공하는 게이트 드라이버; 및상기 n개의 표시영역에 각각 구비된 n개의 데이터 라인 그룹과 전기적으로 연결되어 상기 n개의 데이터 라인 그룹에 각각 독립적으로 데이터 신호를 제공하는 n개의 데이터 드라이버를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치.
- i×j개의 영상 신호로 이루어진 n개의 영상 신호 그룹을 병렬로 입력받는 단계;상기 n개의 영상 신호 그룹을 n개의 데이터 신호 그룹으로 변환하는 단계;i×j의 해상도를 갖는 n개의 표시영역으로 상기 n개의 데이터 신호 그룹을 각각 인가하는 단계; 및상기 n개의 표시영역 각각으로 게이트 신호를 순차적으로 제공하는 단계; 및상기 게이트 신호에 응답하여 상기 n개의 데이터 신호 그룹에 대응하는 영상을 상기 n개의 표시영역에 각각 동시에 표시하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제11항에 있어서, 상기 n개의 표시영역을 포함하는 표시패널은 (n×i)×j의 해상도를 가지며,상기 n×i는 상기 표시패널에 구비된 다수의 데이터 라인이 연장된 방향으로 배열된 화소의 개수이며, 상기 j는 상기 표시패널에 구비되는 다수의 게이트 라인이 연장된 방향으로 배열된 화소의 개수인 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제12항에 있어서, 상기 n개의 표시영역은 상기 데이터 라인들과 평행한 방향으로 상기 표시패널을 상기 n개로 분할하여 형성된 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제12항에 있어서, 상기 n×i은 4096이며, 상기 j는 2160인 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제14항에 있어서, 상기 n은 4이며, 상기 i는 1024인 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치의 구동방법.
- 제11항에 있어서, 상기 n개의 영상 신호 그룹은 저전압 차동신호 인터페이스 방식을 통해 입력되는 것을 특징으로 하는 표시장치의 구동방법.
