Abstract
Description
Claims (16)
- 에칭 용액에 노출될 때 각각 제1 및 제2속도로 에칭되는 제1 및 제2부분을 가지는 광섬유를 제공하는 단계와, 상기 두 부분들을, 상기 에칭 속도의 적어도 하나를 다른 에칭 속도에 대하여 변경시키는 처리제 및 에칭 용액에 동시에 노출시키는 단계로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 광섬유 제조 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제1부분은 상기 광섬유의 코어의 중심부를 포함하며, 상기 제2부분은 상기 코어의 주변부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광섬유 제조 방법.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 코어의 중심부가 상기 주변부보다 낮은 도핑 농도를 가지는 것을 특징으로 하는 광섬유 제조 방법.
- 제3항에 있서서, 상기 광섬유의 단부면에 렌즈를 형성할 목적으로, 상기 중심 부분이 상기 에칭 용액에 노출되면 상기 주변부보다 더빠른 속도로 에칭되어 상기 렌즈 중심에 함몰부를 형성하게 되지만, 상기 처리제에 노출된 경우, 상기 중심부의 에칭 속도가 늦춰져서 상기 함몰부를 형성치 않는 것을 특징으로 하는 광섬유 제조 방법.
- 제1항, 제2항, 제3항 또는 제4항에 있어서, 상기 광섬유가 단일 모드 광섬유를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광섬유 제조 방법.
- 제1항, 제2항, 제3항 또는 제4항에 있어서, 상기 처리제는, 스스로 상기 광섬유를 과도하게 에칭하지 않는 산을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광섬유 제조 방법.
- 제1항, 제2항, 제3항 또는 제4항에 있어서, 상기 에칭 용액은 플루오르를 기초로한 에칭 용액을 포함하며, 상기 처리제는 아세테이트를 기초로한 산 또는 구연산을 기초로한 산을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광섬유 제조 방법.
- 제7항에 있어서, 상기 에칭 용액은 H2O, NH4F 및 HF를 포함하며, 상기 처리제는 아세테이트을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광섬유 제조 방법.
- 제7항에 있어서, 상기 에칭 용액은 H2O, NH4F 및 HF를 포함하며, 상기 처리제는 구연산을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광섬유 제조 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 광섬유은 도핑된 코어 지역, 도핑된 내부 클래딩층 및 도핑되지 않은 외부 클래딩층을 포함하며, 상기 광섬유의 단부부분은 완충된 불화수소산과, 아세테이트 및 구연산으로 구성된 그룹으로부터 선택된 처리제와의 혼합물에 노출되어, 코어 지역과 클래딩층을 에칭하기에 충분한 예정 시간동안 지속적으로 에칭됨으로써 코어 지역 상에 렌즈 형상을 형성하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광섬유 제조 방법.
- 광전 장치(optoelectronic device)와, 일단부에 일체형 렌즈를 구비하여 그 단부가 상기 광전 장치에 결합되는 광섬유를 구비하는 광전 패키지에 있어서, 상기 렌즈는 원추각(θ1)을 가지는 제1원추체와, 상기 제1원추체상에서 원추각(θ2)(θ2<θ1)을 가지는 제2원추체를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광전 패키지.
- 제11항에 있어서, 상기 제2원추체의 기부는 상기 제1원추체의 상부와 필수적으로 동일한 범위까지 연장되는 것을 특징으로 하는 광전 패키지.
- 제11항에 있어서, 상기 광섬유의 코어가 중심부와 주변부를 가지며, 상기 중심부가 주변부보다 더 낮게 도핑되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 광전 패키지.
- 일체형 렌즈를 구비하는 단부부분을 가지는 광섬유에 있어서, 상기 렌즈는 원추가(θ1)을 가지는 제1원추체와, 상기 제1원추체상에서 원추각(θ2)(θ2<θ1)을 가지는 제2원추체를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광섬유.
- 제14항에 있어서, 제2원추체의 기부는 상기 제1원추체 상부와 필수적으로 동일 범위까지 연장하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광섬유.
- 제14항에 있어서, 상기 광섬유의 코어가 중심부와 주변부를 가지며, 상기 중심부가 주변부 보다 더 낮게 도핑되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 광섬유.
