Abstract

Se describe un método para incorporar una fuente de peróxido que produce especies reactivas de oxígeno y opcionalmente también que incorpora vapor con la fuente de peróxido (u otra fuente de calor), en suelos como un método de reparación de suelos, esto es, para destruir o eliminar contaminantes químicos que representan una amenaza para la vida vegetal o animal. La invención también se refiere al uso de la fuente de peróxido junto con vapor opcional (u otra fuente de calor) o solución de peróxido vaporizada caliente para tratar suelos, en particular aquellos previstos para agricultura, como un pesticida para controlar nematodos, hongos patógenos, plagas de insectos y bacterias. La fuente de peróxido se puede aplicar a los suelos usando equipo de cultivo de suelos con objeto de incrementar el contacto entre la fuente de peróxido y los suelos o sustrato a tratarse. La fuente de peróxido y/o vapor u otra fuente de calor o solución de peróxido vaporizada caliente también se puede aplicar con pozos de inyección o galerías de infiltración, por ejemplo, para el propósito de matar patógenos y también para remediar el suelo.
