Abstract

El grupo hidroxilo en posicion 2' de eritromicina A se acetila, el grupo hidroxilo en posicion 4'' se formula y se somete a una reaccion para formar el hemiquetal; subsecuentemente, el grupo hidroxilo en posicion 11 se oxida y el grupo hidroxilo en la posicion 12 se alquilata, seguido de la remocion del grupo acetilo en la posicion 2' y el grupo formilo en la posicion 4'' para producir un compuesto; el compuesto se hace reaccionar con cloruro benciloxicarbonilo bajo condiciones básicas y luego, el grupo benciloxicarbonilo introducido se remueve y el átomo de nitrogeno en la posicion 3' se alquilata subsecuentemente, seguido por la conversion en fumarato en la forma de un cristal crudo, que luego, se recristaliza a partir de un solvente alcoholico, seguido por otro recristalizacion con acetato etilo hidroso para producir un fumarato de la formula general (II): (en donde R1 es un grupo alquilo inferior y R2 es un grupo alquilo inferior).
