THERE IS PROVIDED A DISPOSABLE DIAPER COMPRISING: A FRONT COVER AND A REAR COVER WHICH COVER A USER?S WAIST, AND A CROTCH COVER WHICH HAS AN ABSORBENT BODY AND COVERS A USER?S CROTCH. A STRETCHABLE PART 80 MADE OF STRETCHABLE NONWOVEN FABRIC IS FORMED ON A PART OF AT LEAST THE REAR COVER, THE STRETCHABLE PART 80 BEING FORMED SO AS TO CONTRACT IN THE WAIST DIRECTION. AN AIR PASSAGE-FORMING SHEET 82 MADE OF WATER-REPELLENT NONWOVEN FABRIC IS PROVIDED ON A PART OF A SKIN-CONTACTING SURFACE OF THE REAR COVER. THE AIR PASSAGE-FORMING SHEET 82 IS OVERLAID ON THE STRETCHABLE PART; AND THE AIR PASSAGE-FORMING SHEET 82 AND THE STRETCHABLE PART 80 ARE JOINED TO EACH OTHER BY JOINING PARTS 84 INTERMITTENTLY FORMED IN THE WAIST DIRECTION.
