Description

Fremgangsmåte til fremstilling av en pijlselignende
innpakning.
Ved varmforsegling eller sammensveising av strukkede, termoplastfolier og forbindelsesfolier under medanvendelse av3trukkede plastfolier, f.eks. til fremstilling av innpakninger, opp-
trer det en svekning av materialet ved siden av sveisesømmen. Denne ulempe inntrer såvel-når folien er forseglet innerside mot innerside som når" folien er forseglet innerside mot ytterside og forårsakes av oppsmeltning av den strukkede plastfolie i sonen direkte ved siden av det varme forseglingsverktøy ved varmeledning og ved strålingsvarme.
Ved avkjøling etter forseglingsprosessen stivner riktig-
nok plasten igjen, "men den har nå tapt sin gode fasthetsegenskap ved tap av strekningsegenskapene. Spesielt sterkt opptrer denne ulempe
ved forbindelsesfolier som ble fremstilt under medanvendelse av en metallfolie, f.eks. aluminiurafolie. På grunn av metallets gode varme-ledningsevne bortføres i dette tilfelle spesielt hurtig varme fra forseglingssonen til denne sones naboområder. Er en slik aluminiumfolie eksempelvis på begge sider klebefast cachert med en strukket polypropylenfolie og derved har fått overordentlig gode strekk- og fasthetsegenskaper, så taper en slik høyverdig forbindelsesfolie etter forseglingsprosessen i kantområdet utenfor forseglingssømmen alt etter den anvendte forseglingstemperaturs høyde og varighet over en bredde på noen tiendedels millimeter til flere millimeter sine gode fasthets-og strekkegenskaper. Ved valg av optimale forseglings- resp. sveise-betingelser er man i stand til å holde svekningsstedene smalest mulig, man kan imidlertid ikke. helt bringe dem til å forsvinne.
Ved denne saksstiliing kommer de ofte overordentlig
gode egenskaper ved en laminert folie ikke til full rett i den ferdige pakning, da den maksimale beskyttelse som den ferdige pakning gir til godset må måles på dette svakeste sted.
Ved fremstilling av pakninger som bare består av en strukket termoplastfolie kan forseglingsvarmens skadelige innvirkning gå så vidt at det ved siden av forseglingssømmen kommer til per-foreringer, resp. sågar til en fullstendig oppsmelting av plast-folien. Ved denne uheldige egenskap forbyr i mange tilfelle anvendelsen av en slik termoplastisk folie seg helt til fremstilling av innpakninger.
I noe mindre.grad opptrer de ovennevnte ulemper også
ved anvendelsen av ustrukket tBrmoplastfolie. Den oppsmeltede sone ved siden av forseglingsbakken misdanner seg og har etter avkjøling tykkelsesvariasjoner og dermed svake steder.
Det er fastslått at de omtalte strekningssteder kan unngås ved at ved en folieforsegling indresjikt mot ytresjikt, f.eks. ved fremstilling av en folieslange føres de to kanter av metallplast-laminatfolien, alt etter strekningssonens bredde, ut over bredden av den egentlige forseglingssøm. Herved må folieløpet i maskinen være anordnet således at det til de over den egentlige forseglings- eller sveisebakkebredde overstående foliestrimler gis anledning eventuelt ved lett påpresning i den til sveisesømmen naboplaserte oppsmeltnings-sone å sammensmelte med hverandre.
Oppfinnelsen vedrører altså en fremgangsmåte til fremstilling av en pølselignende innpakning i form av en ved hjelp av lengdesømforsegling i form av overlappsveising fremstilt, ved endene lukket slange av på begge sider med artslik termoplastbelegning resp. filmbelegning utstyrt metall-, fortrinnsvis aluminiumfolie (4i5)>idet overlappingen strekker seg forbi for-seglingssømmen, og fremgangsmåten erkarakterisert vedat foliestrimlene i overlappingsområdene utenfor den egentlige sveisesøm (2,6) ved pressing i ennå smeltet tilstand bringes til sammensmeltning.
Det for sammensmeltningen nødvendige presstrykk får
man enten ved folieføringen innenfor forpakningsmaskinen og/eller ved separate pressverktøy. Disse verktøy kan være avkjølt eller uavkjølt og er fortrinnsvis anordnet og utformet således at det ikke kan foregå noen varmeovergang fra forseglings- eller sveiséinnret-ningen. .- Hensiktsmessig velges bredden av de ovenstående strimler av sikkerhetsgrunner noe bredere enn bredden av påsmelt-ningssonen. Etter forseglingssømmens avkjøling er denne praktisk talt utvidet med oppsmeltningssonens område.
Ved denne fremgangsmåte er det sikret at det ved for-dobling av folietykkelsen, nøyaktig som i forseglingssømmen, unngås en nedgang i fastheten i svekningssonen.
En ytterligere fordel er oppfinnelsesmessig i for-bindelse med den overlappede søm å se deri at under forseglingen av metall-kunststoff-forbindelsesfolier, uskadeliggjøres utilsiktede overoppvarmninger på forseglingsstedene fordi den overskytende varme på grunn av nærvær av metallfolien bortføres på de overlappede steder. Metallfolien bevirker en hurtig varmebortføring, således at det unngås en svekning av folien, spesielt, den strukkede, ved strukturforandringer som ville bevirke en nedgang i den mekaniske fasthet.
Ved fremstilling av en forseglings- eller sveisesøm innerside mot innerside av folien arbeides det følgelig således at den truede sone som er direkte naboplasert til forseglingssømmen ved lett presstrykk bringes til sammensmeltning i oppsmeltet tilstand. Også her må pressonen hensiktsmessig være noe bredere enn de svek-ningstruede strimler.
Av spesiell betydning er kantsone-svekningsfri varm-forseglingssøm for pakninger som er utsatt for spesielle strekk-belastninger som pølsepakningene ifølge oppfinnelsen. Ved fylling og klipping, likeledes som ved steriliseringen opptrer det som bekjent i pakningens indre sterke trykkrefter. Ved sterilisering i mot-trykksautoklaver utlignes disse trykkrefter riktignok sterkt ved det utenifra virkende mottrykk, imidlertid kan, ved trykksvingninger som fremfor alt innstiller seg ved avkjøling, det indre trykk i pakningen være sterkere enn mottrykket. Derved oppstår den rivprøve for materialet som bare kan tåles av dette når folien ikke har noen svekkede steder umiddelbart ved siden av sveise- og forseglings-
sømmen .
Som foliemateriale er det anordnet forbindelsesfolier
som er oppbygget av en metallfolie, fortrinnsvis en aluminiumfolie med på begge sider av et slikt tBrmoplastbelegg resp. filmbelegg. Sistnevnte består fortrinnsvis av strukkede kunststoffolier som forskrumpes ved en termisk etterbehandling (temperering), dvs. er stabilisert mot skrumpning under varmeinnvirkning.
Slangedannelsen foregår ved over hverandre legning av
de to foliekanter således at pakkestoff-innersiden av den ene folie-
kant ligger på yttersiden av den andre foliekant og sveise- eller forseglingssømbredden, bestemt ved at forseglingsverktøyets bakke-
bredde er bevisst smalere enn de to foliekanters overlappingsbredde.
Foregår slangedannelsen ved forsegling innerside mot innerside av folien, så gåes det følgelig frem som allerede beskrevet ovenfor. Folieoppbygningens innerside og ytterside behøver i dette tilfelle med hensyn til plastbelegning resp. kunststoff-filmbelegning ikke å være artslik. Som folieoppbygningens ytre sjikt lar det seg anvende alle sterilfaste, også ikke-termoplastiske kunststoffer.
Ved en utførelsesform ifølge oppfinnelsen er det fore-skrevet ved forsegling å frembringe flere lengdesømmer. Forsegles nemlig ved slangedannelse flere lengdesømmer som forløper parallelt til hverandre så kan rommet mellom sømmene, dvs. deres flateavstand fra hverandre overta den overlappede søms funksjon. Også i dette tilfelle er det hensiktsmessig ved lett motpress til foliene mellom de to sømmer å bibringe en lett forsegling eller sammenklebning. Ved den som sist beskrevne arbeidsmåte er dette av spesiell betydning ved pølser av større diametere som vanligvis ikke fylles helautomatisk.
Ved en slik fylling som ofte foregår på halvautomatisk måte opptrer det vad fyllingen korttidig et noe sterkere trykk av fyllgodset på pølsehyIsteret og sømmen. Dobbeltsømmen virker i dette tilfelle som reservesøm. De mellom de to sømmer ved denne utførelsesform av oppfinnelsen dannede soner kan i dette tilfelle på grunn av den intense —sammenklebning være overordentlig virksom og tilveiebringe en spesielt tett og holdbar innpakning. Som forseglings- resp. sveise-metoder kommer det på tale alle vanlige fremgangsmåter som f.eks. varmkontaktforsegling,impulssveisefremgangsmåten såvel som induktiv høyfrekvenssveising osv. Til gjennomføring av en kapasitiv høy-frekvenssveising under anvendelse av den beskrevne aluminiumforbin-delsesfolie er den pølselignende innpakning formet således at minst en foliekant innen forseglingssonen ikke inneholder metallfolie.
Herved foregår høyfrekvenssvelsingen ved anlegg av høyfrekvensfeltet fra sveisebakken som trykker mot siden av den for-seglingssøm som skal fremstilles som er metallfri i folieoppbygningen.
Er denne forbindelsesfolie fremstilt under anvendelse av termoplastfolier som prinsipielt egner seg til kapasitiv høyfrekvenssveising,
så fremkommer utmerkede forseglingssømfastheter.
På tegningen er det vist skjematisk utførelsesmuligheter ifølge oppfinnelsen.
Fig. 1 viser i prinsipp en pølselignende innpakning,
mens
fig. 2-4 viser typen av forseglingene ifølge oppfinnelsen. På fig. 2 og 3 er det vist en forsegling hvor innersiden
av den ene folieénde forsegles med yttersiden av den andre folieende, mens ifølge fig. 4 viser en forsegling hvor denne foregår mot folie-endens begge innersider.
Ifølge fig. 4 er den pølselignende pakning tilveiebragt
ved sammensveising av folieendenes indre sider. Med 4 og 5 er-de to folieender betegnet mens 6 angir forseglingssonen. Med 7 angis over-lappingsstedene, som strekker seg på begge sider av forseglingssonen 6.
På fig. 1 har folieslangen 1 en forseglingssøm 2. De ifølge oppfinnelsen ved siden av forseglingssømmen tilstedeværende overlapningssteder er det ikke vist på denne figur. Etter forseglingen lukkes den fylte folieslange på begge ender ved klips 3*
Av fig. 2 fremgår det at folieslangen er fremstilt ved overlapping av de to foliekanter, idet innersiden av den ene folie-
kant 4 sammensveises med yttersiden av den andre foliekant 5. Forseglingssonen 6 strekker seg bare over den viste bredde, mens det på^" begge sider av sonen 6 dannes oppsmeltningssoner f. Varmen ledes fra forseglingssonen 6 på grunn av nærvær av en metallfolie i folieoppbygningen som eksempelvis består av aluminiumfolié og strukket kunst-
stoffolie ut til begge sider og bringer folien til oppsmeltning på stedene f, som deretter, ennå i smeltet tilstand, presses sammen.
Av fig. 3 fremgår den samme oppbygning, imidlertid strekker foliekantene 8 og 9 seg ennå et stykke ut over smeltesonen f, som på begge sider omgir forseglingssonen 6.

Fremgangsmåte til fremstilling av en"pølselignende innpakning i form av en ved hjelp av lengdesømforsegling i form av overlappsveising fremstilt, ved endene lukket slange av på begge sider med artslik termoplastbelegning resp. filmbelegning utstyrt metall-, fortrinnsvis aluminiumfolie (4»5)>idet overlappingen strekker seg forbi forseglingssømmen,karakterisert vedat foliestrimlene i overlappingsområdene utenfor den egentlige sveisesøm (2,6) ved pressing i ennå smeltet tilstand bringes til sammensmeltning.
