Abstract
Et system og fremgangsmåte for manipulering av magnetisk responsive partikler i en løsning for å separere nukleinsyremolekyler fra cellekomponenter i en celleløsning. Systemet og fremgangsmåten anvender en anordning som er i stand til å motta flere rør, hvert av disse inneholder respektive prøver og magnetisk responsive partikler. Anordningen innbefatter oppvarmings- og avkjølingsinnretninger for å lettgjøre et ingtrinn for å frigjøre nukleinsyremolekyler fra cellene i celleløsningen. Anordningen innbefatter videre bevegelige magneter som kan beveges nær til og vekk fra rørene som holder de magnetisk responsive partiklene til hvilke nukleinsyremolekylene blir bundet, slik at molekylbundne partikler kan separeres fra resten av løsningen og vaskes, slik det er hensiktsmessig. Systemet anvender også en elektromagnet som er i stand til å demagnetisere partiklene for å tillate partiklene fritt å blandes med løsningen, slik som elusjonsløsninger som anvendes for å frigjøre molekylene fra partiklene.
