Abstract
Foreliggende oppfinnelse vedrører en fremgangsmåte for å behandle forurenset vann inneholdende mikroorganismer omfattende å mate en forurenset vannstrøm ved en volumstrøm fra omtrent 1 til omtrent 1000 m3/t gjennom en elektrolysesone, vannstrømmen har en ledningsevne fra omtrent 0,0001 til omtrent 100 S/m, å elektrolysere vannstrømmen i elektrolysesonen definert av minst ett elektrodepar som muliggjør behandling av mikroorganismer, det minst ene elektrodeparet omfatter en anode og en katode uten separatoranordninger, vannstrømmen guides hovedsakelig vinkelrett gjennom den minst ene anoden og katoden mens det påtvinges en spenning over anoden og katoden og å levere en direktestrøm til anoden og katoden, å trekke en behandlet vannstrøm fra elektrolyssonen. Oppfinnelsen vedrører også en elektrolytisk celle i hvilken fremgangsmåten kan utføres og anvendelse av den elektrolytiske cellen.
