Abstract
Oppfinnelsen er en hovedsakelig fullstendig bionedbrytbar polymer med høyt stivelsesnivå som bruker fullstendig bionedbrytbar høypolymerpolyvinylalkohol [PVOH] som er fremstilt for å være kompatibel med stivelse. De to ingrediensene blir blandet med valgfri tilsetning av en elastisitetsforsterker og et suppleringsmiddel for å bedre stabiliteten og slitestyrken til produktene. Under blandingen og oppvarmingsprosessen blir stivelsens molekylstrukturer randomisert. De randomiserte stivelsesmolekylene, PVOH, elastisitetsforsterkeren og supplerings-middelet gjennomgår så prosessen med copolymerisering. Blandingen blir så ekstrudert ved en temperatur som er over krystalliseringstemperaturen til stivelsesmolekylene for å danne det første trinnproduktet, pelletsene. Pelletsene kan så ekstruderes til filmer ved å bruke en tradisjonell plastfilm-ekstruder.
