Abstract

Gassen blir fortrinnsvis boblet gjennom en væskeansaraling som inneholder en opplsning med høy pH av nytraliseringsstoffene.remgangsmåten er spesielt anvendbar idet denillater anvend-elsen av et avfallsprodukt for å nøytralisere en avgasstrøm under omforming av avfallsproduktet til et nyttig eller ufarlig produkt.A process for purifying exhaust gas from a cement kiln or boiler installation which contains contaminants consisting of one or more of the acid oxides of sulfur, nitrogen and carbon and halogen mixtures in the preparation of useful or non-hazardous products, which process comprises the step of reacting the gas with neutralizing material as the gas is brought into contact therewith in an aqueous solution of a dissolved component of cement dust or ash from a biomass incinerator. The gas is preferably bubbled through a liquid aeration containing a high pH solution of the neutralizing agents. The process is particularly useful in denillating the use of a waste product to neutralize an exhaust gas stream while converting the waste product into a useful or harmless product.
