Abstract

En signalinnretning har n i en matrise (DA) anordnede lyselementer (Dl, ..., Dn) som ved hjelp av fra en lagerenhet (M) styrte brytere (Sl, ..., Sn) kan forbindes med en i en strømforsyningsenhet (SSU) anordnet spenningskilde (Q). Kontrolllinjene (sti, ..., stn) er ført fra lagerenheten (M) til kont.rollinngangene på bryterne (Sl, ..., Sn) på en slik måte at det has en høy gjennomsnittelig avstand mellom lyselementene (D) som påstyres av nærliggende kontrollinjer (st(q), st(q+l), st(q+2), ...)¿ Videre er det anordnet n/x grupper med x lyselementer (D) som kan forbindes med n/x spenningskilder (Ql, ..., Qn/x)- De x lyselementer (D) og spenningskildene (Ql, ..., Qn/x) er i den forbindelse valgt og koblet slik at av de x lyselementer (D) kan bare y(y<x) enheter samtidig aktiveres. De x lyselementer (D) i en gruppe er videre valgt på en slik måte at det for visningen av hvert tegn i det foreliggende tegnsett aldri må aktiveres mer enn y enheter samtidig av de x lyselementer (D) og at de x lyselementer (D) i den angjeldende gruppe har en høy gjennomsnittlig innbyrdes avstand. Signalinnretningen i henhold til oppfinnelsen har en redusert feilsannsynlighet. Sikkerhetsteknisk kritiske situasjoner ved opptreden av feil innenfor Signalinnretningen blir praktisk talt fullstendig unngått ved hjelp av tiltakene i henhold til oppfinnelsen. Dertil unngås opptreden av feil i visningen av tegn som kan forveksles med tegnene i det forhåndsgitte tegnsett.
