Abstract

A detachable headsotck (6) for railway goods waggons with a low loading surface carries the traction and buffing gear and must be removed when the waggon is loaded and unloaded horizontally. The headstock (6) can be fastened securely and economically to the waggon by simple means. To this end, a vertical, downward-pointing pin (7) is rigidly mounted on the lower side of the headstock (6) on the right and on the left of the median longitudinal plane of the waggon, a downward-pointing wedge (8) is rigidly mounted on the transverse ends of the headstock (6), and the headstock (6) can be lowered vertically to insert the pins (7) and the wedges (8) in pin holes (9) and wedge guides (10), respectively, in the head end of the railway goods waggon and can be connected to said head end by frictional engagement and non-slidingly in the horizontal direction.
