Przedmiotem wynalazku jest kondensator elektrochemiczny składający się z elektrody dodatniej i ujemnej rozdzielonych od siebie separatorem i zanurzonych w elektrolicie, elektrody wykonane są z materiału węglowego o rozwiniętej powierzchni właściwiej co najmniej 500 m2 g-1, charakteryzujący się tym, że elektrolit stanowi roztwór octanu potasu w formamidzie albo roztwór octanu potasu w glikolu etylenowym o stężeniu w zakresie 0,1 - 5,0 M, korzystnie odpowiednio 2,0 M albo 1,0 M.The subject of the invention is an electrochemical capacitor consisting of a positive and negative electrode separated by a separator and immersed in the electrolyte, the electrodes are made of carbon material with a surface area of at least 500 m2 g-1, characterized in that the electrolyte is a solution of potassium acetate in formamide or a solution of potassium acetate in ethylene glycol with a concentration in the range 0.1-5.0 M, preferably 2.0 M or 1.0 M, respectively.
