O PROCESSO E O EQUIPAMENTO E REFERIDOS NA PRESENTE INVENÇÃO BASEIAM-SE NO USO DE UM SOLVENTE ORGÂNICO LÍQUIDO QUE DISSOLVE O TCA E O RETIRA DA CORTIÇA. O EQUIPAMENTO USADO PARA EXTRAIR O TCA É FORMADO POR UM TANQUE ONDE AS ROLHAS SÃO IMERSAS, UM FILTRO E UMA BOMBA DE CIRCULAÇÃO QUE FORMAM UM CIRCUITO FECHADO POR ONDE CIRCULA O SOLVENTE. NAS PAREDES DO TANQUE ESTÃO MONTADOS TRANSDUTORES DE ULTRASSONS PARA AUMENTAR A EFICIÊNCIA DE EXTRAÇÃO. O SOLVENTE CIRCULA PARA FORA DO TANQUE, PASSA PELO FILTRO SENDO NOVAMENTE REINTRODUZIDO NO TANQUE ATRAVÉS DA BOMBA DE CIRCULAÇÃO. A EFICIÊNCIA DE EXTRAÇÃO DEPENDE DA TEMPERATURA DO SOLVENTE E DO TEMPO DO PROCESSO. SOLVENTES ORGÂNICOS ADEQUADOS PARA O TCA SÃO A ACETONA E O ETANOL. OUTROS CONTAMINANTES SEMELHANTES AO TCA TAMBÉM PODERÃO SER REMOVIDOS DESDE QUE SOLUBILIZEM BEM NO SOLVENTE USADO.
