Abstract

A semiconductor system is disposed between two main electrodes which are composed of two hermetically joined parts (13, 14 and 5, 5'), of which the first part (13, 14) adjacent to the semiconductor system (7) is a circular disc and the second part (5, 5'), which is permanently joined thereto, has cavities (1, 2, 3) which serve as cooling channels. The second parts (5, 5') of the main electrodes are joined together by an insulating ring (8). This design of the main electrodes increases the loading value of the component. <IMAGE>
